It was a massive day for Western Australian politics with Libby Mettam appointed as the WA Liberal leader and Shane Love appointed as the State Opposition leader after Mia Davies’ resignation.

Libby Mettam wasted no time and unsuccessfully attempted to remove Nick Goiran as parliamentary secretary.

WA Liberal leader Libby Mettam told Oliver Peterson on Perth Live she wants to make WA a better place.

“I believe I can make a difference,” said Ms Mettam.

State opposition and Nationals leader Shane Love told Oliver Peterson on Perth Live he wants to keep the McGowan accountable.
