Back in 2018, Albany rec-fisherman Jack Dawson pulled in a 743 mm deep-sea black Cardinalfish on one of his deep sea expeditions off the southern coast of WA.

Turns out it is the oldest ever fish recorded in WA!

Gibbo and Afternoons spoke to Mr. Dawson about his record breaking catch on the program and it was fascinating!
