The Co-operative Bulk Handling (CBH) has announced it has bought a Geraldton Motor Inn to house staff as the State’s housing company worsens.

This comes after one of Australia’s largest sheep meat processors also acquires a motel to house staff.

WA Meat Marketing co-operative chairman Craig Heggaton told Julie-anne Sprague on 6PR Afternoons businesses are having to get creative in a bid to attract and retain staff.

“A village is a good alternative for us… it’s quite a good investment,” said Mr Heggaton.
