The exclusive interview with Bruce Lehrmann has raised a slew of questions, not least of which how Lisa Wilkinson and her crew gathered hard-hitting testimony from both Lehrmann and Brittany Higgins.

Entertainment reporter Peter Ford told Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast the dynamic between Wilkinson and Higgins gave the impression of coaching.

“It’s one thing to comfort your talent and make them feel comfortable in front of a camera,” Mr Ford said.

“But if you start putting words in their mouth, particularly in a story like this where someone is being accused of horrible crimes, that’s where it gets murky.”
