Warnings by Consumer Protection before buying Dockers finals tickets
Fremantle Dockers elimination finals tickets were released to the general public on Tuesday afternoon, triggering a strong warning by Trish Blake from Consumer Protection.
40,000 tickets have already been sold to Fremantle’s elimination final against the Western Bulldogs, increasing the need to be aware of scalpers.
Ms Blake told Oliver Peterson on Perth Live that people need to wary of buying scalped tickets through unofficial ticket sale platforms such as Viagogo.
“Be very very careful. If they’re asking you to pay 10% above the face value of the ticket, it is quite possible that the ticket will be cancelled and when you go to enter on the day, you will have nothing but a world of pain because you would’ve spent your money and you’ll be denied entry.”
“You might be desperate to pay that much but you are taking a massive risk if you do.”
