David Warner made an absolutely undeniable statement in Perth yesterday with his 164 runs.

And while many are giving the veteran credit for showing off some of his best form, many critics are arguing it’s too little, too late to put a shine on Warner’s career as he prepares to hang up the gloves.

Sports reporter Mark Readings told Millsy and Karl onĀ 6PR Breakfast despite whatever criticism is leveled at Warner, it set the standard for the day.

“The bottom line is, we made five for 364; no other batsmen got going other than him,” Mr Readings said.
