WA running out of coal

Simon Beaumont

An investigative report by The West Australian has revealed one of Collie’s leading power plant ran out of coal forcing it to close.

The West Australian columnist and former editor Paul Murray told 6PR Mornings host Liam Bartlett WA has a demand for coal and should not let its coal plants shut down.

“At peak demand last night we were still relying 25 percent on coal,” said Mr Murray.
