WA retailers get new powers to ban badly behaved shoppers
The State Government will bring to parliament tomorrow a proposed ban of violence and abuse towards retail employees by giving shop owners the power to prevent abusive or violent customers from entering their store.
Shop, Distributive and Allied Employees Association Organising Support Officer Mark Murray spoke to 6PR Radio’s Perth Live presenter Russell Collett and said the move was a great start in protecting workers, especially from repeat offenders.
