Parents are furious over Doubleview Primary schools’ decision to cancel its annual overnight camp for Year 6 students.

Concerns were raised over adding extra workload to teachers’ plates as well as the difficulty of catering for the many dietary requirements of the students.

WA Primary Principals Association President Neil Smith says it has become more complex to organise school camps.

“Society in general is getting far more complex – we have a large number of students who have medical issues who need supervision,” Mr Smith told Millsy and Karl.
