WA police officers who refuse to get the COVID jab by the end of the month will have their pay cut and will face loosing their jobs.

There are reports that there could be around 400 unvaccinated.

Acting President Mick Kelly, WA Police Union, told Liam Bartlett the Union can’t afford to lose frontline staff.

“It is tight out there how it is with staff,” he said.

“We need to retain as many officers as we can.

“But my understanding late Friday afternoon …  there are 150 on leave … when you break it down further, 20 from the surveys that the agencies put out to the members, 20 have said they do not intend to get vaccinated at all, it is quite low.

“We are looking at 20 members, that is the latest as of Friday.”
