WA liberal senator Matt O’Sullivan has committed to helping small business Perth Explorer, the iconic hop-on hop-off bus service, secure a loan to ensure it’s survival.

It comes after CEO and cofounder Martin Wright told Millsy of the business’ plight on Monday, saying it would not survive if he’s not granted the government-backed SME loan.

The senator said he will make enquiries on their behalf, and “get to the bottom of this”.

“It is unusual, why that’s not being provided,” Mr O’Sullivan told Millsy on 6PR Afternoons.

“I’m prepared to take it on, and see what’s going on, and find out why this is happening, because this is certainly the lifeline that the Morrison government has provided.

“We’re working with the banks to provide this support, so I’m not sure why it’s not happening, we’ve got to make sure it does.”
