The AMA has criticised the State Government’s dismissive approach to Western Australia’s hospital crisis.

Speaking to Perth Live host Oliver Peterson, AMA WA President Dr Kyle Hoath stated that the Government’s ‘world-class’ tagline is unfitting, pointing to a huge bed deficit and unacceptable conditions, including visible mould.

“There is nothing acceptable about visible mould in a hospital space; that’s a sign that something needs to be done, not that we normalise the state that these hospitals are in,” he said.
