The Cancer Council has urged primary school students in NSW to ditch ham sandwiches.

WA Pork Producers Association president and local farmer Graeme Dent was not impressed, telling Gareth Parker on 6PR Breakfast the message was a “load of hogsbollocks”.

“These people take certain snippets from certain articles… you’ve got to remember Australia has some of the highest food standards in the world,” he said.

“The Cancer Council is a good organisation and so is Diabetes Australia … but why don’t they tell us the whole truth.”
