WA families and children hit again with cuts to essential education support

The State Government has made cuts to the Secondary Assistance Scheme’s clothing allowance subsidy which supports low-income families in buying appropriate clothing for their children attending school.
Shadow Education Minister Liam Staltari spoke to 6PR Radio Perth Live presenter Oliver Peterson and said from next year, a $300 clothing allowance paid to parents needing support for education essentials would be cut down to $115.
