WA Education Minister, Tony Buti, says he is concerned more students are opting out of doing ATAR due to high stress.

In an opinion piece, Mr Buti stated that he is worried we are developing a culture which seeks the easiest pathway, rather than the challenging one.

“I do worry that if we allow people the option, students will not be properly prepared for university studies and their success rate may be reduced,” Mr Buti told Perth Live.
