Tyrone Thwaites, Chief Basketball Officer at Basketball WA, explained to Perth Live host Oliver Peterson that the state government has promised large investment into the sport, but presently there aren’t enough courts to keep up with demand.

“The last thing we want to do is to tell a kid who wants to play with his mates or her mates that they can’t do that simply because there’s not enough places to play,” he said.
