Western Australian Energy Minister Amber-Jade Sanderson confirmed the state activated emergency powers under the Fuel Energy and Power Resources Act, ordering fuel companies to provide commercially sensitive information.

She explained to 6PR Mornings host Russel Collett that these powers grant the government greater clarity over the supply chain, ensuring fuel flows to where it is needed most.

“We do need full transparency so that we can stay ahead of the situation and keep the economy running,” she said.
