Vicious attack sparks riot at suburban soccer game

Millsy & Karl

Premier Mark McGowan has called on sports fans to “behave” after a glass bottle was thrown at a player by a spectator – believed to be a parent of another player –  during a match between Mandurah City and Rockingham City FCs over the weekend.

The incident occurred mere weeks after spectators were banned following a brawl at another club.

Football West has shared a statement on the incident, saying they are aware of the events.

“Football West will conduct a full investigation and will not hesitate to punish any parties found to have breached the Code of Conduct,” the statement read.
