Vandals have cut the cables to three of the four pole-mounted cameras at Goegrup Lake and Serpentine River, equipment vital for monitoring dolphins in the area’s stranding hotspot.

Jason Menzies of River Guardians explained to Perth Today host Simon Beaumont that this is the third such incident.

“Someones maybe thinking we’re monitoring for illegal fishing activity and the likes, but that just not the case,” he said.
