Pet owners are being warned not to take their pets to certain parks in the City of Belmont after a toxic white substance, believed to be an insecticide, was found in multiple parks.

There have been multiple reports of unwell pets who visited the parks and were in contact with the poison.

The City of Belmont has since increased patrols in the area to deter the culprits.
