Victorian schools have reported multiple students collapsing and requiring treatment from paramedics due to vaping.

VicHealth has released a statement, headlining ‘urgent action needed to support Victorian kids targeted by the vaping industry’ in response to these incidents.

CEO of VicHealth Dr Sandro Demaio says it’s deeply concerning how these products have been successfully pushed onto children.

“They’ve flooded the market with cheap, highly addictive products – it comes looking like a highlighter pen – so it’s literally designed to hide in school uniforms,” Dr Demaio says.
