‘Unusual hacks’ that could help you survive the cost of living surge
Some new unusual strategies have been published that could help you dodge some dollars in the current cost of living crisis.
Alan Pears from the RMIT Senior Industry told Simon Beaumont on 6PR Mornings that air fryers are a ‘magical’ replacement for an oven
“They certainly use half the amount of electricity as your usual conventional electric oven but the big thing is they are fast,” he told Simon.
Other hacks include wrapping your windows with bubble wrap, meal prepping and cooking your food in bulk.
“Bubble wrap can be surprisingly effective, although it does block the view a bit, it converts a single glazed window into better than a double glazed window. So instead of costing you hundreds of dollars per square meter it costs you almost nothing.”
