Daniel Pastorelli, a Member of the Legislative Assembly, informed Perth Today host Simon Beaumont that these changes aim to achieve greater fairness and align Western Australia’s public holiday schedule with other states.

“There is frustration when WA is open for business and the rest of the country is not,” he said.

Simon then sought insight from Tony Romano of NAI Harcourts regarding the implications for small businesses.

Romano stated that these changes are poised to significantly impact the hospitality sector and small businesses in particular.
