Today marks one year since the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Ukrainian ambassador Vasyl Myroshnychenko says his people are grateful for the support.

Ukrainian refugee, Yevheniia, shared their story on 6PR Mornings on how they fled the besieged city of Kharkiv as Russian troops encircled the city.

“I would’ve never imagined that I would need to leave my city, I love my city – it was hard to believe that it was actually happening,” Yevheniia told Gary Adshead.
