Each morning, Gareth Parker speaks to our US and UK correspondents.

US correspondent Charles Feldman told Gareth Parker that a phenomenon known as ‘Quiet Quitting’ is a new trend among some workers in the US.

And Salman Rushdie’s agent says today, the road to recovery has begun for the author.

Feldman said the recovery would be extensive following the gruesome New York attack.

“He was stabbed in the neck, in the stomach, in the chest, in the right eye, which made him lose that right eye,” he said.

“The suspect who stabbed him… he has pleaded not guilty, but now the question is what the motive was.”
