Foodbank Western Australia chief executive Kate O’Hara told 6PR Long Lunch host Mark Doran that participants will spend a night in their cars at Foodbank’s headquarters to better understand the emotional and physical toll of housing insecurity, with all funds raised supporting the deployment of a new mobile food van.

“Living out of a car or having some nights where you’re sleeping in your car, unfortunately, can happen far too easily to people who would never have expected it”, she said.
