Trio of reasons rentals are out of reach in Perth and regional WA

Stagnant wages, low vacancy and climbing interest rates have combined to price people out of a place to live.
The rental affordability index, released on Tuesday by SGS Economics and National Shelter, shows affordability for renters in greater Perth has declined 15 per cent over the past two years.
National Shelter CEO Emma Greenhalgh says rental affordability in Perth has hit its lowest point since 2016,
with parts of regional WA areas affected the worst.
