Ian Petkoff, Chair of the Honour Avenues Group, Kings Park, detailed the effort involved in maintaining the plaques.
“It’s a weekly job to go around and keep the plaques in good order,” he said.
Carine SHS has been assisting with the laying of flags and flowers for Remembrance Day since 1983.
Kerri Sutcliffe, Associate Principal of Communications, Events & Marketing at Carine SHS, explained to Perth Today host Simon Beaumont that between 30 and 50 students proudly volunteer each year.
“Really great opportunity for our kids to learn from volunteers and do some service in the community at the same time,” she said.
