Two men have died after their motorcycles collided in a crash in East Rockingham, with motorists urged to avoid the area.

The crash occurred just after 2am this morning, with paramedics called to the intersection of Patterson Road and Ennis Avenue, where a member of the public was giving first aid to one of the riders.

The police internal affairs unit will review the circumstances of the crash, after the bike was reported spotted by officers shortly before crashing, but no attempt to stop it was made.

“It sounds particularly bad by the sound of it, I’ve got to say,” Parker said.

• Patterson Road northbound between Dixon Road and Alumina Road
• Patterson Road southbound from Alumina Road to Dixon Road
