Toodyay resident Tony Maddox is facing nine months in jail and a $20,000 fine after a neighbour complained about a creek crossing on his Toodyay property.

Mr Maddox allegedly breached the state’s Aboriginal Heritage Act by fixing the bridge, despite it being part of his property.

He told Jo McManus on 6PR Afternoons the bridge was already there before he bought the property, he simply “beautified” it.
