Auckland was rocked by the news of an active shooter in a city construction site at 7.30 this morning – a tragic event that has left three dead, reportedly including the shooter.

As well as the fatalities six people were injured, including members of the police.

Newstalk NZ reporter Tom Rice told Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast they were still trying to find out exactly what happened.

“There’s reports he was a worker somewhere around the commercial area, but there’s not a whole lot of information out at the moment,” Mr Rice said.
