A young volunteer firefighter has been remembered after he was killed while battling a bushfire in Esperance.

6PR and Nine News reporter, Jake Battrick, says it’s unclear how the 21-year-old, identified as Harry Stead, passed away.

“He was on a private fire-fighting appliance from his farm battling this blaze on a neighbouring property,” he told Perth Live.
