Indigenous Fremantle footballer Troy Cook has highlighted the importance of this weekend’s Sir Doug Nicholls round. 

Sir Doug Nicholls round recognises the impact and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders footballers had on the game.

Troy Cook told 6PR Friday Night Lights presenters Will Schofield and David Mundy what this weekend’s round means.

“Indigenous round comes around each year the amount of effort and work they go to include community and Aboriginal people bringing people along on that journey of education and starting those conversations that will hopeful continue on for a long time now,” Mr Cook said.
