While the majority of retail outlets are closed on Good Friday, one venue that will do a roaring trade is Kailis Bros in Leederville.

Today is one of the busiest days of the year for the seafood specialists, with doors to their Oxford Street market opening at 6am.

Theo Kailis told Mark Gibson, in the 6PR Breakfast chair for Gareth Parker, that many people were calling ahead to place orders to collect on their way down south for the long weekend.

“The industry is lucky with some beautiful local fish available right across the country,” Kailis said.

“All fishmongers will be open today, it’s a great time of the year to enjoy some wonderful seafood with family and friends.”
