The parking revolution and the ‘cost of convenience’

The Long Lunch

There has been a rise in parking apps but a professor is questioning where the information goes.

Associate professor of Law and Technology and Director of the UWA Tech and Policy Lab, Julia Powles, says there isn’t a lot of information which can be collected from a paper ticket.

“You don’t know who bought it, or where they’re going next, but once we create a digital trail, there’s a lot more information, and that’s the business model,” she told Julie-Anne Sprague.
