And James Connolly is a guy that knows his drinks. He’s a veteran of the Perth bar scene, and one of the country’s most awarded cocktail makers.

A few months back, James opened his first venue, Bertie Wine Bar in Bassendean. Nestled on Old Perth Road in Bassendean, Bertie is all about good food and drink, bringing a modern vibe to British eats.

During 6PR Weekend‘s The Long Table, Jamie Burnett asked James what it was like opening his own venue after years of launching bars for others, while James gave some hints and tips to take your cocktail making to the next level.
