The AFL’s two Western Australian clubs loom as big losers out of their state’s draconian border measures.

There are increasing fears the Eagles and Dockers will be forced into hubs at the start of this season.

6PR football analyst Brad Hardie, the 1985 Brownlow Medalist, said both clubs were “realistic” about what possibly lay ahead.

“They are really frightened, commercially, in one sense that they’ll have to go into a hub,” he told Melbourne’s 3AW Breakfast.

“They know what is coming.”
