The AFL has admitted  the Fremantlke Dockers were robbed at the end of their match agaionst the Blues on Sunday, saying the umpire under criticism made a mistake.

It’s not enough to change the course of the game, a notion 6PR sports reporter Mark Readings told Millsy and Mick on 6PR Breakfast.

“They believed the initial call was ‘touched, play on’ by the umpire closest to the ball-up,” Mr Readings said.

“I can understand this umpiring mistake; I’m not going to hang the umpires on this.”

Former umpire Dean Margetts was of the same mind, defending the fallibility of umpires but also empathaising with fans.
