Sandover medallist Bailey Rogers says honest feedback from his Claremont coach Ashley Prescott was key to his success.

Rogers won the WAFL’s top individual honour on Tuesday night with 30 votes, finishing ahead of teammate Jye Bolton on 25 votes.

He says the coach’s honest feedback inspired him.

“He told me I was a bit overweight, and I was so wrapped that he told me that,” he told Gareth Parker on 6PR Breakfast.

“And thanks to the Claremont Football Club and the resources we’ve there, we’ve got a dietician, and I dropped a few kilos, and I think that was a major key to my form at the end of the year.”
