In a twist of fate, the opposing coaches are actually brothers.

Steve and Baz spoke with the Melville Cricket Club’s coach Brad Thompson, who is a former Perth player, and the Perth Cricket Club coach, Jason Thompson.

Jason Thompson told 6PR Breakfast he was actually starting to work out his losing address, and then the wickets started to fall.
“I was actually talking to someone and we were going through, ‘ok, what are the positives that we can draw from this game and what area do we need to improve on and make sure we finish on a positive regardless of the result’.”
