New research by the CSIRO has revealed the best way to lose weight and keep it off for good.

CSIRO Research Scientist and lead scientist on the study Dr Gilly Hendrie told Jo McManus on 6PR Afternoons being accountable for your behaviour is the best way to have long-term success.

“We know that self-monitoring is a really important predictor of long-term weight loss and weight loss success,” said Dr Hendrie.

“It’s about being consistent in the long term.”
