The Federal Environment Minister has just announced they will be funding three recycling plants in Western Australia to convert more organic matter into compost.

275,000 tonnes of food organic and garden organic is expected to be removed from landfill and recycled into compost.

Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek told Oliver Peterson on Perth Live the $11 million project is a win-win project.

“It’s going to massively increase the amount of food and organic waste that can be processed around Perth,” said Ms Plibersek.
