Tech giants are driving a rise in digital platform complaints
There are calls for the Federal Government to expand the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman (TIO) to become the Communications Ombudsman due to the number of complaints they receive about social media and other digital platforms.
Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman Cynthia Gebert spoke to 6PR Radio Perth Live presenter Russell Collett and said customers were turning to the TIO because they were “at their wits end” and looking for someone free and independent to navigate the tech giants.
