The Perth Mint is being investigated by the Australian Financial Review, after allegations they’ve held gold for clients of a tax haven bank being investigated for its links with organised crime.

According to the AFR the Perth Mint failed to conduct identity checks required to prevent money laundering, instead relying on the Puerto Rico based Euro Pacific bank vetting process.
