New research has found one in five women is underpaid in superannuation with some losing out on $40,000 worth.

Industry Super Australia advocacy director Georgia Brumby told Oliver Peterson on Perth Live it is really surprising.

“It’s really because of the disadvantages [women] face,” said Ms Brumby.

“They don’t even know they have been dudded.”
