Research from Pollster Roy Morgan reveals the most trusted and distrusted brands in Australia, with hardware retailer Bunnings surpassing supermarket giant Woolworths to become the nation’s most trusted brand.

Professor of Marketing and Consumer Behaviour at QUT Gary Mortimer told Julie-anne Sprague on 6PR Afternoons, “It’s incredibly difficult to generate, maintain and keep trust but you can loose it instantaneously.”

“An outage or price gouging claims can impact very very quickly on trust, and then you have to respond. If you don’t do the service recovery appropriately, quickly enough and compensate consumers fairly, then you’ll never get that trust back.”
