The Australian Idol reboot finally announced its judging panel, with Kyle Sandilands the only original judge to return after a 14-year hiatus.

Entertainment reporter Peter Ford told 6PR Breakfast stand-in hosts Oliver Peterson and Jenna Clarke the Channel 7 show will also feature Australian singer Amy Shark and two American stars.

Ford also told Breakfast about the eight-year jail term facing pop star Shakira.
