With record temperatures expected over the coming days, Surf Life Saving WA is warning beachgoers to be cautious when heading to the surf.

General Manager Chris Peck told Will Schofield the best thing swimmers can do is head to a patrolled beach.

“You still need to watch out for each other, but what we do tell people is if you swim between the flags, that’s where all the systems are set up.

“People will respond quickly if there’s an issue.”
