Heritage-listed art deco Regal Theatre will receive an upgrade along side a new set of apartments set for Subiaco.

Developer Westbridge Urban are heading the $78 million dollar, nine-story build just near the theatre.

Chairman Damian Collins told Oliver Peterson on Perth Live there are demands for people wanting to live in Subiaco and ultimately what brings life to a suburb is the people.

“It’s one of those beautiful art deco buildings and it obviously stull needs some work…Generally the feedbacks been pretty good particularly since we’re keeping the Regal Theatre and giving them some additional facilities,” Collins said.
