A pedestrian bridge over Stirling Highway near Cottesloe Primary School was shut down after a video showing the structure swaying significantly emerged.

Member for Cottesloe Sandra Brewer told 6PR Mornings host Simon Beaumont she is very concerned, noting that a large number of students use the bridge to cross three major corridors.

Brewer said this is just one example of concerning ageing infrastructure in the area.

“Crying out for attention to look at what is archaic and dangerous infrastructure in general across our suburb”, she said.
